Poker is a card game in which players wager against each other and the dealer, with the highest-ranking hand winning the pot. Although the game involves considerable chance, it is primarily a game of skill, influenced by psychology and game theory. In most games, one or more players must place an initial amount of money into the pot before cards are dealt. This is called a forced bet and comes in the form of an ante or blind. Once everyone has received their two hole cards, the first of what will probably be several betting rounds begins. In some games, the dealer will then put 3 cards on the table face-up that anyone can use. This is called the flop. Then, another card will be dealt face-up, and the second round of betting begins.<\/p>\n
Once all bets have been placed, the players will reveal their hands and the player with the best 5 card poker hand wins the pot.
